4 Days Usambara Mountains Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Lushoto Town
Pick up from your hotel or airport and transfer to Lushoto, the gateway to the Usambara Mountains. Enjoy scenic views along the drive. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax.
Later, enjoy a short walk around Lushoto town or visit the local market. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Magamba Rainforest & Waterfalls
After breakfast, head out for a guided hike through the Magamba Rainforest, home to black-and-white colobus monkeys, endemic birds, and lush vegetation.
Visit beautiful waterfalls along the trail and enjoy a picnic lunch. Return to the lodge in the afternoon for relaxation.
Day 3: Village Walk & Irente Viewpoint
Today you’ll experience local life with a guided village walk, learning about traditional farming, culture, and daily activities of the Usambara communities.
Later, hike to the famous Irente Viewpoint for sweeping views over the Maasai plains. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lushoto – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning before driving back to Arusha or onward to your next destination. End of your memorable Usambara Mountains adventure.
