9 Days Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.
Full-day game drive with picnic lunch, followed by dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
Explore Lake Manyara National Park, known for tree-climbing lions, flamingos, hippos, and lush groundwater forest.
Afternoon transfer to the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park
Journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to the legendary Serengeti National Park with game viewing along the way.
Afternoon game drives before dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.
Day 4: Full Day Serengeti Game Drives
Enjoy a full day of game drives across the Serengeti plains, home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and large herbivore herds.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Rim
Morning game drive followed by lunch, then travel toward the Ngorongoro Crater area.
Dinner and overnight at a lodge near the crater rim.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater for an extended game drive, one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five.
Picnic lunch on the crater floor, then overnight in the Karatu area.
Day 7: Lake Eyasi – Cultural Experience
Visit Lake Eyasi for an authentic cultural experience with the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and Datoga tribe.
Afternoon relaxation and overnight near Lake Eyasi or Karatu.
Day 8: Arusha National Park
Travel to Arusha National Park, featuring Mount Meru views, crater lakes, giraffes, buffaloes, and optional walking safari.
Dinner and overnight at a lodge in Arusha.
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast, enjoy leisure time, city tour, or souvenir shopping depending on your flight schedule.
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your safari.
