Day 1: Lemosho Gate – Mti Mkubwa Camp

Drive to Lemosho Gate (2,100 m) for registration, then trek through lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650 m).

Hiking time: 3–4 hours
Dinner and overnight at Mti Mkubwa.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa – Shira Camp 1

Leave the rainforest and climb into the moorland zone toward Shira Camp 1 (3,500 m).

Hiking time: 5–6 hours
Dinner and overnight at Shira Camp 1.

Day 3: Shira Camp 1 – Shira Camp 2

Trek across the Shira Plateau with stunning views of Kibo Peak, reaching Shira Camp 2 (3,850 m).

Hiking time: 4–5 hours
Dinner and overnight at Shira Camp 2.

Day 4: Shira Camp 2 – Moir Hut

Turn north and trek into remote alpine terrain to Moir Hut (4,200 m), a key acclimatization day.

Hiking time: 5–6 hours
Dinner and overnight at Moir Hut.

Day 5: Moir Hut – Buffalo Camp

Continue around the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro to Buffalo Camp (4,020 m) with wide open views.

Hiking time: 5–7 hours
Dinner and overnight at Buffalo Camp.

Day 6: Buffalo Camp – Third Cave Camp

Trek east across the saddle beneath Kibo to Third Cave Camp (3,870 m).

Hiking time: 4–5 hours
Dinner and overnight at Third Cave Camp.

Day 7: Third Cave – Summit – Mweka Camp

Midnight start to the summit via Stella Point to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 m).

Hiking time: 12–15 hours
Dinner and overnight at Mweka Camp.

Day 8: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate

Descend through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate. Receive summit certificates and transfer back to your hotel.

Hiking time: 3–4 hours
